As part of tonight’s update, he posted a photo of the massive Super Heavy Booster 7 test vehicle as it readies for its first-ever attempt at an orbital flight. Leaving the Starship’s engine room, Musk tweeted ‘Just leaving the engine bay of Starship’.

Musk has stated that the team is taking extreme caution because the engines can generate over 17 million pounds of thrust and they don’t want to risk damaging the launch pad’s ground support structure. Because of its proximity to a US Wildlife Refuge and public beach access, the Starbase launch pad must be cleared for testing on a regular basis.
Road closure notices posted by Cameron County at Boca Chica Beach indicate that possible testing will begin on February 3, 6, and 7. Timelines are tentative, as engineers won’t move forward unless the vehicle is ready. Soon, SpaceX could fire all 33 Raptor engines on its Starship rocket.
It was revealed that SpaceX is considering firing up the methane-fueled Raptor V2 engines on the Starship Super Heavy rocket very soon. He predicted that a static fire with 33 engines would take place the following week on January 27.
