Oscar Awards Show 2023 announced its new nominations on Tuesday, January 24. oscar nominated movies 2023  selected Everything Everywhere All at Once, Elvis, The Fabelmans and etc.  All the cateries like the best actor, best director, and best picture announced. The Oscar awards showing is going on March 12, and Jimmy Kimmel will be the host. Kimmel’s previous host in 2018 was the same show.

In the last Oscar, awards show Kevin Hart hosted in 2019. Despite this in 2020 and 202, there was no permanent official host for the show. In 2022, Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes host it together. All the pictures described here briefly, which are nominated in 2023.

All Quiet on the Western Front

A German series based on a novel written by Erich Maria Remarque consists of the story of the first World War. It was aired in 2022 at Toronto International Film Festival for the first time. Then it was aired by Netflix and got positive reviews. Edward Berger, who is also nominated as best director for the same film, directed it with stars Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Daniel Brühl, and Devid Striesow.

In All Quiet on the Western Front, you can watch how the soldiers face several mental and physical problems during the war. It was nominated in the 95th Academy award for three categories like  Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best International Feature.

Avatar: The Way of Water

James Cameron direct and produced this epic-based film. Distributed by 20th Century Studios including its cast  Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, and Matt Gerald, reprising their characters from the first installment which premiered in 2009.  It premiered in London for the first time on December 6, 2022.

You can say it is the most expensive film ever as it was prepared with a $350–460 million budget. It collects positive reviews from critics with a $2.028 billion worldwide collection. Avatar: The Way of Water create history when it became the highest-grossing film of 2022, the highest-grossing film of the COVID-19 pandemic era, and the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time. It is also the sixth film to pass $2 billion. This movie was selected for the 95th Academy Awards best picture. 

The Banshees of Inisherin

This is the third film selected by the Academy Award show which debuted at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 5, 2022. Nominated as the best movie it was nominated in other categories including Best Director ( Martin McDonagh ), Best Actor (for Farrell), Best Supporting Actor (for both Gleeson and Keoghan), Best Supporting Actress (for Condon), and Best Original Screenplay. 

Elvis

A biography follows the real-life story of Elvis Presley, an American singer with Austin Butler as Elvis. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2022, by Warner Bros. Pictures. After being released worldwide it gets a great success with a $287.3 million collection, even though it was produced on an $85 million budget. At the 95th Academy Awards, it gets nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Butler.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

Written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, this comedy movie was produced by Anthony and Joe Russo. Everything Everywhere All at Once debuted at South by Southwest on March 11, 2022. After premiering world wide it received great commercial success. The performances of Yeoh, Quan, Hsu, and Curtis were rememberable.

It was selected for 11 categories at the 95th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Yeoh, and Best Supporting Actress for Curtis and Hsu. 

The Fabelmans

Aired by Universal Pictures on 23 November 2023, this movie was chosen for the best movie at the 95th Academy Awards show. It was a semi-autobiographical based on Spielberg’s teenage life, in which the lead cast was Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy, alongside Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Judd Hirsch. Tár

Tar is another picture that is nominated for best picture at the 95th Oscar Awards. With this nomination, it was chosen for other six categories in the Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director for Field, Best Actress for Blanchett, and Field for Best Original Screenplay. Todd Field directs it with the stars Cate Blanchett, Nina Hoss, Noémie Merlant, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner, and Mark Strong. Focus Features released it on October 28, 2023.

Top Gun: Maverick

The next 95th nominated film was Top Gun: Maverick, in which Maverick’s character was played by Tom Cruise. This series production was completed in 2019, but because of COVID-19 it was delayed for three years and premiered on May 27, 2022, by Paramount Pictures. It grossed $ 1.489 billion worldwide become the second-highest-grossing film of 2022 and the highest-grossing film of Cruise’s career. Triangle of Sadness

Triangle of Sadness is directed by Ruben Ostlund with stars  Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Dolly de Leon, Zlatko Burić, Henrik Dorsin, Vicki Berlin, and Woody Harrelson. In this film, you can watch the life of a celebrity couple on a luxury cruise with wealthy guests. It premiered for the first time at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on 21 May 2022. Triangle of Sadness is the next movie nominated in the recently announced Oscar Award list.

Women Talking

Women Talking was the last movie nominated as best movie and also for  Best Adapted Screenplay for the Oscar Awards. The story was connected with a person who is from Manitoba Colony in Bolivia. Its cast is  Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, and Frances McDormand. Frances was also the producer of the film. It was aired at the 49th Telluride Film Festival first and then released widely in 2023 on January 20. It was praised from all sides.
