A series based on Solo Leveling is in the works at long last. The news that the popular webcomic Solo Leveling will be adapted into an anime was announced at the 2022 Anime Expo. Although the release date and time have not been announced, fans were also given a trailer. The anime adaptation, however, is not slated to debut on Crunchyroll until the second week of March 2023. The anime will debut on Crunchyroll in 2019 in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Only a still shot of the show’s protagonist is featured in the teaser. The trailer also includes some stills from the webcomic, as well as concept art drawn by A-1. Hiroyuki Sawano, who has scored dozens of anime including Attack on Titan, will provide the score for this series.
The story takes place in a fantastical universe inhabited by powerful individuals known as Hunters. Sung Jinwoo is one of the world’s weakest Hunters when the story begins, but he gradually gains power thanks to an unknown source. The people who earlier mocked his weakness are rapidly proven wrong as he grows in strength.
After gaining popularity as an online novel in South Korea, Chugong’s work saw even greater success when adapted into a digital comic, from which Solo Leveling was adopted. The webtoon was published in print for KakaoPage and has since had a physical release in English, as well.

There will be a Live-Action series Based on Solo Leveling on Netflix, a Video Game and an Anime
The original webcomic from which Solo Leveling was developed received a great deal of attention and swayed the direction of the internet for a time. In light of this, Netflix will produce a live-action adaptation of the manhwa in addition to an anime adaptation. Moreover, a totally new game titled Solo Leveling: Arise will also be released in South Korea. That should suffice to show the story’s popularity and credibility.
Noboru Kimura will pen the script, and Shunsuke Nakashige will helm the film. The series’ musical score will be composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. His previous work includes score compositions for such classic anime as Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, and Kill La Kill. Fanatics of webtoons and anime both can expect to be blown away by Solo Leveling thanks to its great plot, top-notch animation studio and stellar soundtrack.
