The name of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s son, which she announced on Saturday, January 21st, is Aire Webster, has been met with much conjecture as to its pronunciation. On Saturday, a fan account called @Kyliesnapchat asked, “Do you think it’s pronounced air or airey?” in reference to the ex-news. couple’s Fans with sharp eyes may have noticed that the last “e” in Aire, which means “lion of God” in Hebrew, could be quiet or hard.
“AIR ,” the Kardashians star, 25, commented on the social media post, revealing that her son’s name sounds like how the noun “air” is pronounced.
Grandmother Kris Jenner commented: “I love you Aire Webster.”
Jenner, who gave birth to her son with Scott, 31, in February 2022, revealed Aire’s face for the first time on Saturday. She posted numerous photographs of her 11-month-old child to Instagram in a carousel.
Kendall Jenner referred to her nephew Aire as “my boooyyyyyy” while Khloé Kardashian called him a “little king” in the comments.
Kylie Jenner and the ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper had previously stated that they were going to name their son Wolf Webster before they broke up earlier this year. Later, they reconsidered after realizing Wolf didn’t feel right.
“We haven’t officially legally changed the name,” the Kylie Cosmetics mogul said during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden in September 2022. “His name is still Wolf. His passport’s Wolf, but that isn’t gonna be his name. We’re just waiting and simmering.”
She continued at the time: “We don’t call him Wolf. We’re just not ready to share yet. … Travis likes to sometimes, like, one day, he’ll be like, ‘Oooh, this name’s kinda cool,’ and change it again. So we’re just not officially probably gonna change it until [later].”
Kylie’s family has been the subject of a Hulu documentary series, but Kylie has been keeping quiet about their daughter Aire’s new name. A nature-inspired name for their kid is consistent with the name they gave their 4-year-old daughter, Stormi, from “The Life of Kylie.”
“When I was pregnant, I used to call her Stormi when I would talk to her in my belly,” Kylie revealed in a March 2019 Instagram Live session. “It just always feels right. … I just couldn’t imagine any other name other than Stormi.”
