In 1997, again he went on the slam dunk contest NBA and there because of his powerful slams he was also known as “Dunkin Darvin” and “Ham Slamwich.” 

Playing for Milwaukee, he was present in all five games of the Bucks, there his nickname called “Hammer play.” In 2005 he appeared in Basketball Without Borders program held in Johannesburg, South Africa, and in 2015, appeared in the Dominican Republic. In 2016, he was chosen by the Philippine Basketball Association team Talk ‘N Text Phone Pals where he played only three games. He also served as a studio analyst for Fox Sports Southwest.
