NCIS Los Angeles Crossover Reveal: Is Hetty Really Alive?

NCIS Los Angeles Crossover Reveal

NCIS Los Angeles Crossover Reveal

NCIS: Los Angeles Crossover Reveal: The NCIS crossover event was supposed to feature some significant moments, but we did not anticipate the involvement of NCIS: Los Angeles. This event ended the three-hour extravaganza and answered a long-standing query regarding Henrietta “Hetty” Lange’s whereabouts.

Is the persona of Linda Hunt still alive? The broader LA team has been trying to acquire an answer to that question for a time, but it hasn’t been easy. We know that Hetty is skilled at concealing herself when she doesn’t want to be detected. She repeated doing that for most of the squad, but tonight they discovered that she was still present and watching them! She left a voicemail that was crucial to finding Kilbride.

Though we haven’t seen Hetty all season, this was a sweet way to include her occasionally. She has contributed so much to the show’s history that things don’t feel the same without her.

Simply put, the writers have some significant ideas for the character’s future, and if there’s one BIG thing we take away from the Hetty reference tonight, it’s that. Even if there isn’t much information about that future yet, we would be surprised if Hetty didn’t show up before the season was through.

Remember that we need her there for Callen and Anna’s wedding! It will be incredibly disappointing if that doesn’t materialize in the end. It’s important to remember that the show’s Sunday episode will be the next opportunity for us to see more of Hetty.

Find Out More About That Surprising Cameo in NCIS Crossover

To help them uncover a murder conspiracy, the agents of NCIS, NCIS: Hawai’i, and NCIS: Los Angeles got unexpected but very helpful help. In the 3-way crossover meeting, Parker, Torres, Palmer, Tennant, Tara, Callen, Blye, and many more wrangled over the shocking suicide of a beloved FLETC instructor.

A three-hour-long narrative cut short A network of CIA assassins operating in the past under the name “Simon Williams” was similar to Carlos the Jackal (or Dread Pirate Roberts! ), and this professor had access to top-secret information about it. A rebellious faction sought to revive “Simon” for even less honorable purposes.

NCIS Los Angeles Crossover Reveal

In the final NCIS: LA episode of the crossover, Callen and Sam got cryptic messages that, when put together, unlocked an audio message from a distorted but recognizable voice, which they used to try to lure out the bad guys and, hopefully, find kidnapped, Rountree and MIA Kilbride.

“Sounds like you’ve got yourself in a bit of a pickle,” Hetty noted. “I warned Hollis that his Simon Williams days would come to bite him in the ass.

“You are all quite capable, and far be it for me to tell you what to do,” she continued. “But you might want to contact an old friend, Gwen Johns….”

Hetty’s communication led the agents to a Hollywood casting agency that years earlier found a ringer for Kilbride to pose as the admiral on multiple occasions, in addition to stating that Alden still owes her $600 for “the Monaco incident.” In turn, Callen & Co. utilized that actor to lure the bad guys to the boat house and kill some of them.

This finally led NCIS to a distant airport where Rountree was being kept; Kilbride was waiting, prepared to fire a case-closing sniper shot at the rogue group’s leader. The triple crossover was such a significant event for all of our NCIS families that it was crucial to have Hetty (played by Linda Hunt) be a part of it, even if she was physically unavailable, says NCIS: LA showrunner R. Scott Gemmill (who penned Part 3 of the crossover).

“In true Hetty fashion, she proved not only to be on top of what was going on,” Gemmill added, “but she even offered some cryptic advice to help get them out of a jam.”

“We shot it backward, which made for ‘interesting’ acting choices,” NCIS: Hawai’i front woman Vanessa Lachey shared with TVLine.

“We shot the end first, then we shot Hawai’i, and then we shot the OG, the mothership,” Lachey explained. And because of that inverted order, the cast members of the different shows sometimes need to remind themselves whether their characters were meeting for the first time!

“We came into one of the offices and I was like, ‘Have we met yet, at this point?” And [NCIS: LA‘s] Chris O’Donnell was like, ‘I don’t think so….’ We had already shot the finale, but I was like, ‘OK, but this is the point where I’m first seeing you.’

“And when Todd [LL Cool J] came to Hawai’i, I said, ‘This is your first time in our bullpen,’ so he changed his acting when he walked in. He made sure to take it all in. We just had to remind ourselves, ‘Have we met yet?’ Since we shot it backward.”
