Kidd’s season 10 arc was also discussed by Chicago Fire showrunner Derek Haas, who confirmed that the character would remain. He did, however, make hints about Kidd’s future career and plenty of turmoil that will surround her. That is still a problem, he told CarterMatt. She has other commitments, including work related to Girls on Fire, which takes up her time.
Although Kidd’s immediate future is uncertain, fans may be confident that the character will still be present. She (along with actress Miranda Rae Mayo) will almost certainly continue to be an important member of the Chicago Fire family as a result of her engagement to Severide (Taylor Kinney).
