MMA Junkie questioned White at a press conference in the days after the UFC released Luis Pena in October 2021 after he was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The president of the UFC shot back:
“Well, I mean, this was a bad case. We knew that he had problems before that we were trying to help him with. This is a pretty nasty one… This one had to happen.”

The journalist went on to wonder if someone like Jon Jones would receive the same punishment for violent crimes. When asked, White said:
“Something like that could happen to anybody. Yeah, could happen to anybody.”

When Anne slaps Dana in the face on New Year’s Eve while they’re on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, the 53-year-old responds with a couple of blows of his own. After a recent public confrontation with his wife, Dana White has issued a statement.
Dana White recently released a statement in which he expressed regret for the fight he had with his wife on New Year’s Eve while under the influence of alcohol. While on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, White’s wife apparently slapped him, prompting the UFC president to respond with two slaps of his own before onlookers intervened and broke up the fight.

Dana White admitted guilt for his actions in an interview with TMZ Sports.
“You’ve heard me say for years, there’s never, ever, an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman, and now here I am on TMZ talking about it… This is one of those situations that’s horrible. I’m embarrassed… People are going to have opinions on this, and most of the people’s opinions will be right, especially in my case. You don’t put your hands on a woman, ever.”
