Due to its brevity and focus on action sequences rather than character development, the series was met with mixed reviews. Critics are divided on whether or not Bloodline is a faithful adaptation of the Tekken series and they have questions about the show’s animation style and quality.

The Death Note series, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, is a popular Japanese manga. Published by Shueisha and serialized in their shoujo manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump from December 2003 until May 2006, the 108 chapters were collected into 12 tankbon volumes. In the story, a young prodigy named Light Yagami comes into possession of a mysterious notebook called the “Death Note” which once belonged to the shinigami Ryuk and bestows upon its user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name appears within its pages.
The plot revolves around Light’s attempts to use the Death Note to commit a global massacre of people he deems immoral and to create a crime-free society under the guise of a god-like vigilante named “Kira” as well as the efforts of an elite Japanese police task force led by the mysterious detective L to apprehend him.
Nippon Television aired a 37-episode anime television series adaptation of the manga from October 2006 to June 2007. Madhouse was responsible for the production and Tetsur Araki oversaw the series’ direction. In 2006, Nisio Isin also published a light novel based on the series. Konami has also released a number of Nintendo DS video games.
Three live-action films based on the series were released in Japan in June 2006, November 2006 and February 2008 and a television drama was broadcast in 2015. In 2016, a miniseries called Death Note: New Generation and a fourth film were both released. An American film adaptation premiered on Netflix in August 2017 and rumors of a sequel have since circulated.
In North America, Viz Media holds the rights to license and release Death Note media with the exception of video games and soundtracks. In addition, Toei has produced thirteen television specials and fourteen animated features. Products and media in many forms including trading card games and numerous video games have been developed by a number of companies.
Viz Media licensed the manga series for an English language release in North America and the United Kingdom, while Madman Entertainment licensed it for release in Australia. In 2004, 4Kids Entertainment obtained the rights to distribute the anime in the United States and Canada in English. However, they later rescinded the agreement and Funimation eventually bought the rights in 2007.

Originally published in Japan, Yumi Tamura writes and draws the manga series 7 Seeds. The story follows the struggles of five groups of young adults who are resurrected from cryonic preservation in a post-apocalyptic future, long enough after a meteorite hits Earth that new species have evolved. The name comes from the Japanese government’s plan to freeze five separate groups of people in separate cryogenic chambers and provide them with food and other necessities.
Beginning with the November 2001 issue of Shogakukan’s Bessatsu Shjo Comic magazine, the manga later moved to Flowers magazine where it remained until its conclusion in May of 2017. Shogakukan compiled all of the individual volumes into 35 books.
In November 2018, Gonzo and Yukio Takahashi the creators of the original net animation anime adaptation made the announcement. In June 2019, the first season debuted on Netflix around the world. On March 26, 2020, Studio Kai debuted the second season.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure or JoJo no Kimy na Bken is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. From 1987 to 2004, it ran in Shueisha’s weekly shnen manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump. In 2005, it was moved to the monthly seinen manga magazine Ultra Jump. There are nine individual episodes in the series and each one features a different “JoJo” protagonist.
The 131 tankbon volumes that collect the chapters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure make it Shueisha’s longest-running manga series. Produced by A.P.P.P. and available from 1993 to 2002, Stardust Crusaders is an original video animation series based on the manga’s third volume. An anime film based on the first volume titled Phantom Blood was produced and released in Japanese theatres in 2007.
