This is the news that no one in the Raised By Wolves Season 3 fandom wanted to hear: the show has been canceled and there won’t be a proper conclusion to the story. It appears the series has ended for good unless it follows its own example with religious symbolism and is revived by the forces that be (i.e., fan demand and a new corporation prepared to take it on).
What did actually take place, and what was its intended purpose? Information regarding the postponement’s cancellation is provided below.
Is there a reason why Raised By Wolves Season 3 didn’t air?
In a statement released on June 3, 2022, HBO said they had made the difficult decision to cancel the show after six seasons with no resolution in sight.
“While we are not proceeding with the third season of Raised by Wolves, we are beyond grateful to the stellar cast and crew, our creators Aaron Guzikowski, Ridley Scott, David W Zucker, and the entire team at Scott Free Productions for their beautiful artistry and unique ability to immerse fans into the world of Kepler-22b,” reads the statement (via Deadline).
Unfortunately, the renewal opportunity for Raised By Wolves coincided with a time when the network was making significant cuts to its programming. Several popular shows have been canceled this year already, such as Made For Love (after two seasons) and The Prince (a satirical take on the British royal family), both of which lasted only one season.
The cast and crew of Raised By Wolves, however, appear to have been taken aback by the choice. Showrunner Aaron Guzikowski told Collider in February 2022 that he was already writing episodes for Season 3. Who knows if it will be put into production, assuming we even get that far? If it is ordered, though, we have nothing to base the story on, so I’ll have to keep writing.

So I guess that’s my whole world as long as the program keeps on. Just like a method actor, I have to immerse myself in my fictional world to write about it. Since the cancellation was announced, the show’s stars have rallied behind the show’s loyal following to try to salvage it.
Actor Abubaker Salim who plays Father confirmed the cancellation on Twitter before the network did pleading with viewers to save the show by funding a campaign to bring it back to air.
I need you to do something. On Twitter, I witness the unadulterated adoration, enthusiasm, and (far too many) questions about Raised By Wolves every single day. He pleaded with his followers to spread the hashtag #RenewRaisedByWolves and show their support for the wolves as they looked for a new home.
Niamh Algar, who portrays Sue, also shared a message, tagging a number of other streaming services (including Prime Video, Peacock, Apple TV, and Netflix) that would pick it up if given enough encouragement and added, “Cause praying gets you nowhere!”
I’ve been checking multiple times a day for a season 3 announcement. HBO has got to renew this show it’s incredible #raisedbywolvesmax

What would have happened in the third season of Raised By Wolves?
A lot of things were left up in the air at the end of season two of Raised By Wolves. Mother’s situation, and by extension her children’s, did not appear promising. Most of our primary characters were in danger by the conclusion of season two because Mother had become Grandmother’s hostage, locked in a prison-like simulation, and because Grandmother had intentions to devolve the children into something subhuman.
Although there were screenplays created and a storyline planned out, creator Aaron Guzikowski was reluctant to discuss the show’s termination in advance.
However, this results in several unresolved storylines and unanswered questions. Like, what’s the deal with all the tubes under Kepler-22’s surface and the ties to Earth? Would Jesus-like Marcus, played by Travis Fimmel, really return to the story? The devil knew what was wrong with Sol.
Season 3 clips from Raised By Wolves: When it was canceled, did they manage to film anything? Sadly, a third season of Raised By Wolves was never even planned, thus we will never get to watch any new episodes.
