According to recently revealed court documents, an Ashland physician was detained on Tuesday and charged in connection with the attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021. According to the criminal complaint, 68-year-old Jacquelyn Starer was seen on body camera footage hitting a police officer.

A doctor in Massachusetts, Starer “is a practicing physician licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts,” the FBI agent who filed the complaint said. According to WBZ-TV, she used to work at the Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, but she is no longer affiliated with the facility.
