Is Better Call Saul Season 7 Renewed or Canceled?

Better Call Saul Season 7 renewed

Better Call Saul Season 7

What do you think is Better Call Saul Season 7 renewed? Better Call Saul’s stunning end caps off six action-packed seasons. The American cult drama has been following the transformation of the slick but well-intentioned lawyer Jimmy McGill into the morally bankrupt Saul Goodman we know from Breaking Bad, complete with dramatic moments and stunning cameos. Prior to its run Breaking Bad, fans were skeptical that the prequel could live up to the famous AMC drama, but the series has consistently exceeded expectations, including the ideal ending.

So, why won’t there be there a Better Call Saul Season 7? Is there any chance of more sequels or prequels coming out? If you want to know the whole story, keep reading.

Is Better Call Saul Season 7 Renewed?

Because the prequel has caught up to the events of Breaking Bad and Jimmy’s transformation into Saul is now complete, the show will not be renewed for a seventh season. Furthermore, the last season of Better Call Saul contained a sizable chunk investigating what became of Jimmy/Saul after the events of Breaking Bad, further cementing the works’ shared continuity and canonization.

While glimpses of his life as Gene Takovic, manager of an Omaha, Nebraska Cinnabon shop, had been promised at the beginning of each season, much more detail about his experience is provided in the finale. Jimmy’s story naturally concludes with his capture by the police and an unexpected reunion with Kim, both of which cause him to reflect on his actions for the first time in a long time and admit guilt.

Given that Jimmy is going to spend the foreseeable future in prison and there is no more tale to tell from before the days of Breaking Bad, it’s hard to imagine where the show may go in a subsequent season.

Are there plans for other spinoffs of the Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul series?

Even though Better Call Saul has ended, we may not have seen the last of Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s imagined universe. The head of entertainment and AMC Studios at AMC Networks, Dan McDermott, said in June of this year that “the door is always open” for future spin-offs. I can tell you that if I could do anything to urge Vince and Peter to continue on in this universe, I would do it,” he told Variety.

All of that is encouraging to hear, but before we get too giddy, we need to keep in mind some more recent remarks from Gilligan himself. The creator of Breaking Bad has said that he doesn’t want there to be “too much of a good thing,” so while there are plenty of storylines left unexplored for future shows, he’s currently concentrating on something completely different.
