My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 Review: Thread of Hopes
I can’t think of a more fitting title for a media production than this episode. As the Heroes fought for their lives, a fresh lease on life was given to them by the reappearance of Best Jeanist, the #3 hero (despite doing nothing for the past six months). As soon as one of Dabi’s claims was disproved, people began to doubt the veracity of most of what he said, which ultimately helped them neutralize the greatest threat they faced at the time: Gigantomachia. There was a glimmer of hope, and things were looking up.
Bakugo had planned to reveal his hero name the next time he encountered his old trainer, Best Jeanist, so that was another first for us. The expected bombast was present, but so was a great deal of subtlety that isn’t often obvious at first. It works perfectly for him, but he was only a minor player in this episode. In the twelfth episode of Season 6 of My Hero Academia, all the heroes you could think of—and some you couldn’t—returned to make one last stand against the villains.

The Todorokis’ sega, in which Dabi openly declares his desire to destroy Endeavor’s creation. In the end, it came down to Endeavor’s eldest son, Dabi and his youngest, Shoto. Continuing from my last assessment, I feel it’s important to point out how beautifully Shoto’s dilemma is handled here. All parties involved in the conflict—Endeavor, Dabi, and especially Shoto—have done their parts exceptionally well. As has usually been the case with My Hero Academia, this episode was excellent in its ability to evoke strong feelings. You can also read about My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 9 details.
The music in this presentation is consistently excellent. Yes, the animation may lag behind other popular series for a while, but the soundtrack ensures that you will always feel amazing while watching this show, no matter what is happening on screen. New and classic OSTs were used in the My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 and they all worked wonderfully with the show’s theme. What we’ve been describing seems like a dream, albeit a very exciting and dramatic one. And there was much rejoicing at the return of a very familiar OST, but to reveal what it is would be a spoiler.
When the dust settles on this season, it will be hard to argue with the assertion that this arc wasn’t the best the show has ever produced. There was a lot that happened in this season, thus a summary at the beginning of the program was appreciated, despite the fact that many had grown tired of these by Season 5. This episode easily ranks among the best of the season so far. The show’s potential and quality have never been higher than they are right now. They made it slightly humorous as well!
