It wasn’t until later in the evening that Reigns showed up, accompanied by Bloodline enforcer Solo Sikoa and special counsel Paul Heyman. When Jimmy Uso saw Reigns, he asked if Reigns was really planning to keep him in the dark about the big announcement. Jimmy Uso has expressed his affection for Zayn and stated his desire to see him inducted into The Bloodline.
Pearce wanted to know if tonight or the Royal Rumble was more convenient. It was Heyman’s decision to have the tag team match on the SmackDown episode from December 30. In the end, Reigns and his teammates revel in their triumph at WarGames. The only member of The Bloodline he didn’t dap up with was Zayn. Reigns claimed that the evening was supposed to be a success for Zayn, but that the presence of Owens spoiled the evening.
When Owens persisted in bothering Zayn, Reigns blasted him and promised that the two of them would soon be rid of Owens. Despite knowing that Owens was a negative influence, Zayn referred to him as a friend. Zayn tried to retort, but John Cena appeared on the screen and cut him off.
Cena read a message from Owens in which Owens pointed out that this was the first year in which Cena hadn’t wrestled. Cena agreed to team up with Owens to take on Reigns and Zayn on the final SmackDown of 2022, despite the fact that doing so would break his streak.

Pearce accepted the challenge and participated in the game. According to Reigns, Zayn’s day should have been fantastic, but there’s still the matter of The Bloodline and Owens. Cena then cut in on Reigns to boast that he has been a WWE wrestler for the past two decades. According to him, Owens sent him a text message asking if he wanted to be his partner and he gladly accepted.

On December 9th, WWE confirmed that Cena would be making an appearance on the final 2022 SmackDown. His final match was a dark match on September 10, 2021, at a WWE SmackDown taping at Madison Square Garden, where he and The Mysterios defeated The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Uso).
