In this comedy from Kenya Barris, a young couple and their families explore the nature of modern love and family in the context of divergent cultural values, social mores and generational gaps.
Barris co-wrote the script for the film with Jonah Hill and will serve as producer. Hill will also appear in the film. Who is Directing You People?
After directing multiple episodes of Black-ish and a few episodes of #BlackAF, both of which he wrote and acted in, Kenya Barris will make his feature film debut with You People (2020). Barris will serve in his normal capacities as a writer and producer in addition to directing a feature picture for the first time. The actor Jonah Hill will be working alongside Barris in the creative process.
