About The Biggest Loser Season 19
USA’s 18th season of The Biggest Loser had a new formula than the show’s previous 17 seasons in terms of both the temptation challenges and the elimination voting criteria. It was decided only by the candidates’ weight loss, and voting was eliminated. In the most recent season, the participants were taught not just how losing weight would improve their health, but also how adopting a healthier way of living would improve their overall quality of life. For this reason, many viewers found fault with the NBC seasons and were pleased to see it implemented in the USA version.
The show has been popular among its viewers, many of whom have been tuning in since it originally aired. They are also curious as to whether or not there will be a second season. Fans are optimistic that the USA would renew The Biggest Loser despite no official announcement; doing so would make sense, given the show’s consistently high ratings.
Who Won Season 18 of “The Biggest Loser”?
The 18th season finale of The Biggest Loser aired on March 31. Bob Harper, the host, revealed that Jim DiBattista was the lucky winner. Jim’s nickname is “The Coach” and it sticks. He began the season at 385 pounds and finished at 241 pounds, a loss of 155 pounds. He shed a total of 144 pounds or 37.4 percent of his body weight.
Jim’s parents were a major inspiration to him, he said on the show. His parents passed away when he was still young. Jim realized he needed to lose weight to improve his health and quality of life. He didn’t want to go the way of his parents and perish in his youth.
