Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park and Nanrisa Lee are all-stars in the show. The new show was created by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, who also serve as executive producers. Martin Gero, Dean Georgaris, Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt, and Chris Grismer are the executive producers under Quinn’s House Productions. I Have an Idea! After its initial airing on NBC in 1989, “Quantum Leap” continued for another five seasons. Beckett was played by Scott Bakula. Al, a time traveler from Sam’s own timeline, played by Dean Stockwell, appeared to Sam in the form of a hologram that only Sam could see and hear. It was in November of 2021 that Stockwell, at the age of 85, sadly passed away.

The new version of NBC’s Quantum Leap, a remake of the time-traveling science fiction show from the ’90s, has been picked up for a second season. Raymond Lee replaces Scott Bakula as Dr. Ben Song in the new season. The show follows Ben as he lives his life over and over again to fix his faults. It’s the number two new broadcast show in the 18-49 demographic this season, and Quantum Leap is NBC’s strongest drama premiere on Peacock to date.
Throughout the first season of Quantum Leap, Addison (Caitlin Bassett), a decorated Army veteran, appears to Ben as a hologram that only he can see and hear. Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson), a no-nonsense career military guy who is well aware that his superiors will not be pleased upon learning of the breach of etiquette, is in charge of the operation. Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who heads up the AI division “Ziggy” and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee), who oversees digital security, round out the headquarters team.
