Purdy and Hall led the Cyclones to another winning season in 2021 finishing with a 7-6 record that included a 24-21 victory over then-ranked No. 8 Oklahoma State thanks in large part to Purdy’s 307 yards and two touchdowns in that game.
Against Texas Tech, he had 356 yards and three touchdowns but they lost a high-scoring game, 38-41. While Purdy’s 71.7% completion percentage and 3,188 yards passing led the Big 12 once again, the season was largely disappointing for a team that began the year ranked #7.
