She was born on May 6, 1986, in Indianapolis to her mother, Ivory steward, and father, Henry Moore. Her dad is an Air Force lieutenant colonel. She holds an American Nationality yet comes from African American ancestry.

She earned her BA in the arts from the University of Virginia. During her days in college, she was amongst the first pioneers of the school’s long-form improv comedy ensemble known as Amuse Bouche. Also, she had various roles in the Disney College program during those days.
