There are several reasons behind the series. During his beginning, Hancock was accepted by his industry, neither as a scientist nor as an archaeologist.

What Should the Ancient Apocalypse Season 2 Storyline be?

You know very well the Netflix new series is based on the Graham theories, which was released on 10 November 2022. According to the writer’s theory cataclysm is the main reason for destroying ice age civilization. This civilization introduced us to agriculture and other important technologies like architecture. He wanted to show us several pieces of evidence that proved these lost civilizations.

And now archaeologists have not discovered these reported civilizations. Hancock alleged many archaeologists are misleading including experts in Pacific geography and archaeology, such as Patrick Nunn, from the University of the Sunshine Coast; Mark McCoy, from the Southern Methodist University; and Augustine Kohler, the acting director of the Federated States of Micronesia Office of National Archives and Cultural and Historic Preservation, “incredibly insulting to the ancestors of the Pohnpeian [islanders] that did create these structures.”

The journalist explained how he “spent decades searching for proof of this lost civilization” and that he wants to “challenge the traditional views of human history”.

Stuart Heritage at The Guardian has branded the series “the most dangerous show on Netflix,”. He wrote: “It whispers to the conspiracy theorist in all of us. And Hancock is such a compelling host that he’s bound to create a few more in his wake.”

Archaeologist Flint Dibble stated that “lacking in evidence to support Hancock’s theory”, while there is “a plethora of evidence” the dates Hancock gives are not correct they clash with other civilizations. For example, the Megalithic Temples of Malta were made in 3600-2500 BC, but Maltese archaeologists denied this. Many other archaeologists claimed that the evidence presented by Hancock is not perfect, and the civilization, Society for American Archaeology objected to Netflix reclassifying the series according to science.
