Quavo, the third member of Migos, posted a lengthy statement on Instagram on November 12 in response to Takeoff’s death. Even more surprisingly, the late performer’s uncle is Quavo.

He was shot multiple times in the head and body, and his death has been ruled a homicide, as reported by CBS affiliate KSTW. At least two persons fired firearms during the altercation, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner revealed at a press conference in early November, and two more people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
A murder investigation into the death of Takeoff is underway
Exactly who shot down Takeoff? In December 2022, 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested and charged with Takeoff’s murder by the Houston Police Department. The police department tweeted at the time, along with a mugshot of the defendant, “Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, charged with the murder of Kirshnik Khari Ball (Takeoff)”. In addition to murder charges, 22-year-old Cameron Joshua was also arrested and charged with felony firearm possession in connection with Takeoff’s death.
During a press conference on November 1, 2022, the Houston Police Department sought the public’s input on the circumstances surrounding Takeoff’s death prior to filing any formal charges. Sergeant Michael Arrington the case’s primary investigator said at the time, “We are searching for any information at this time.”

Houston police said at a press conference that two additional persons were shot at the party and transported in private vehicles to a nearby hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.” They were an adult guy and a female, ages 23 and 24, respectively. According to the doctor, “both of them are going to be OK,” meaning that Quavo suffered no harm.
