Hoop In a Winter Wonderland
This is the time of year for a complete holiday takeover. Season 3’s snowfall of happenings is about to hit, so we hope you’re prepared. A lush, full Christmas tree decorated with ornaments, lights and presents galore stands at City Hall. Gifts for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners will be available under the tree on Christmas morning, December 25; those with current-gen consoles need not feel left out. However, we have something special in store for you, too.
The Fire and Ice event amps up the temperature and the takeover multiplier, increasing the rate at which you gain a takeover perk in-game by a factor of ten. Your initial burst of speed will be followed by a gradual slowdown as the takeover timer ticks down. This will ensure a healthy amount of competition and give less seasoned players a chance to learn how to use their takeover ability.
