Cop Flips Pregnant Woman’s Car: In a lawsuit against the state of Arkansas, a woman who was pregnant at the time claimed that her vehicle was flipped by a state trooper using the controversial PIT manoeuvre during a traffic stop. Her attorneys have now announced a settlement in the case.

Harper and her lawyers have expressed a desire for the dashcam footage of the incident to be used as a teaching tool for troopers to show them what not to do in a similar situation. A Pregnant Woman’s car is Flipped by a cop because she was going too slowly to a stop.

The lady explained that she had slowed down and activated her hazard lights as soon as she saw the police car approaching because she thought it would be safer to wait until the exit. The officer said to her through the wrecked car window, “Well, this is where you ended up.” You stop when the police tell you to.
It would appear that the woman was following the Facebook page for the Arkansas State Police to the letter. The Arkansas Times reported on November 19 that the state police were willing to change their policy regarding the PIT manoeuvre as part of a settlement to avoid a lawsuit.

The state troopers comment regarded the use of PIT maneuvers involving fleeing drivers. She wasn't fleeing, she slowed down and turned on her hazard lights.
