What happened in Episode 6 of Behind Every Star Season 1?
Devastated by her ordeal with Sang, Je-in (Kwak Sun-young) returned to her office. The agent was adamant that she would change if her partner (or ex-partner, depending on your perspective) would just teach her how to love properly.
Sang-UK, however, was in too much pain to care and was relieved to see the woman he still cared about leave. Still, he showed up at the office around the same time she did, so there was probably still a chance for them to work things out.
Director Ma’s daughter Hyun-Joo was recently revealed to be the senior Method Entertainment executive’s wife’s speculation that her husband might be having an affair with the rookie agent. Tae-oh is now homeless after his pregnant mistress Eun-ha finds out she had been cheated on and found out the truth from Tae-oh. No one is immune to the emotional toll of the situation. Eun-gyul has already informed his sister that he needs time to reflect.
At the end of the episode, While getting sloshed at the karaoke bar, Director Ma assures his team that Method will live through whatever comes its way. While Je-in watches the many texts she has sent to Sang-uk go unanswered, she drinks alone to drown her sorrows. The episode concludes with Je-in returning to the workplace, where she thinks she has located Sang-uk, after some more reflective moments.
Recap of Episode 5 of Behind Every Star Season 1
Je-in wakes up next to Sang-uk following a dispute between Oh Na-ra and Park Ho-san on set. She is so enamored with her partner that she avoids picking up the phone, causing Jung-don, who is worried about her to wait a little longer to deal with the controversy surrounding their clients.
The next blow to Hyun-ego Joo comes when she mistakes a birthday present for Kim Soo-Ro when it was actually intended for her. Hee-sun, unfazed by the rumors surrounding Park Ho-san is overjoyed to share screen time with the actor. It’s only added to the buzz surrounding Method’s newest signee that she manages to throw off her famous senior while running lines with him.
Ho-san storms off set in a huff because Na-ra is late leaving Jung-don and Je-in to smooth things over with their respective clients. The former tells Na-ra that she does well in the film’s rough cut, while the latter tries to get Ho-san to let his guard down.

In Behind Every Star, the dramatists waste no time getting down to the gritty details of the lives of celebrity agents. Initially, we see So Hyun-Joo (Joo Hyun-Yeong, Extraordinary Attorney Woo applying for a job at Method Entertainment by claiming to have a mysterious connection to director Ma Tae-oh (Lee Seo-jin). Fortunately, an opening opened up on Cheon Je-(Kwak in’s Sun-young) team when a first-year manager resigned in a huff.
Agents are expected to handle “delivery, schedule management, promotions, planning, contracts, marketing and everything else regarding an actor’s career,” as Je-in explains to Hyun-Joo on her first day.
When Method Entertainment’s elderly CEO Wang Se-ja (Lee Hwang-eui) passes away suddenly while on vacation, things quickly become more difficult than they already were. Tae-oh and his team of agents find out from CEO Wang’s wife that she plans to sell the entertainment company, but Tae-oh is adamant that they must raise the capital to buy out Wang’s share.
