Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope For Nintendo Switch

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is the next part of the weirdest game team-up since Kingdom Hearts put together Disney and Final Fantasy. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which came out in 2017, was a clash between Ubisoft’s purposely annoying Rabbids series and Nintendo’s famous Super Mario series. It was met with open arms and a lot of praise.

It did a good job of combining strategic battles, crude humor, and Mario’s cute art style. Now, the game’s sequel will put players in space and have them fight a new enemy on different worlds. Here is everything we know about Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, including when it will come out, how to play it, what its story is about, where it takes place, and more.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Release Date

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will come out on October 20. This was announced in June during a Nintendo Switch Direct Mini. Now you can put in a pre-order.

Geoff Keighley’s tweet confirms that Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Skull & Bones will all come out between April 2022 and April 2023. And now that it’s April, it’s likely that these games will get some updates soon.

Just last month, a huge leak of Ubisoft’s future plans showed details about a new Prince of Persia and a sequel to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Sparks of Hope is also on the cover of this month’s Edge Magazine, which makes the release date even more likely.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Gameplay

In Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, players will be in charge of a group of three characters as they travel through colorful worlds and fight in turn-based battles. Players will need to use their abilities to dash attack, team jump, and use special moves to win. With the dash attack, a character can use their limited movement to run through enemies and deal a set amount of damage.

And with team jump, characters can use each other as trampolines to get to higher ground or cross gaps.

Characters like Mario can even do damage by landing on an enemy’s head when they do a team jump. Each character has their own special moves. For example, Luigi can automatically shoot an enemy who moves while in his line of sight. Mario can also give his allies a boost that makes them do more damage if they are close enough to him.

Each character can have its own main and secondary weapons, which can be chosen by the player. For example, Mario could hit enemies with both a blaster and a hammer, but Luigi has a long-range sniper and an explosive robot that follows enemies to their deaths. Players can buy new versions of these weapons with gold coins. Each one has a special effect that can make enemies stick to the ground with honey or bounce away from you.

Combat moves are changing a lot in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Players will no longer use a cursor to choose where their units move. Instead, they will be able to move their units anywhere on the battlefield. In Kingdom Battle, the players moved along linear paths where they were forced to meet other players.

Sparks of Hope seems to have open areas where enemies are spread out around the world and will start a fight if they come in contact with you. This is pretty cool because it will make people want to explore and let them avoid fights if they want to.

September’s Ubisoft Forward opened with a new look at Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Home. It starts with a movie trailer of Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach dancing on a beach with a bunch of Rabbids.

After that, we got a sneak peek at one of the game’s quests and watched a big battle unfold. The video shows the area of Terra Flora, which is a group of floating islands with huge pink clouds and a lot of plants.

There are secrets, collectibles to find, and many ways to talk to NPCs. We can find hidden paths and do other things to the environment to find secrets. We see Mario, Luigi, and Rosalina, Rabbid, get on a train to go to the top of a nearby volcano. But One Angry Wiggler chases after the train, which starts a big fight against him.

We get a quick rundown of how players can get ready for battle by putting on sparks, getting their weapons ready, and choosing their abilities. Bowser uses a Bowzooka, and the rest of his team works together to get the upper hand by using their Sparks.

Before Mario uses one of his special skills, he uses a Spark to draw enemies to him. We see Bowser get completely knocked out, which forces Mario to keep jumping on enemies with his stomp attack until he destroys the One Angry Wiggler for good, saving the train from being destroyed.

To win battles in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Home, it’s clear that everyone in the party needs to work together a lot. If you played the last game, you know that it can get harder as it goes on. With all the different strategies and, especially, the unique Sparks, it seems like there will be a lot of different ways to play.

Rayman has been confirmed to be part of the third DLC for Mario + Rabbids. This is the most important news. Even though we probably won’t see it for a while, just knowing that it exists is exciting.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope story

Mario and the Rabbids’ Kingdom The battle starts when Rabbids steal a powerful invention made by a genius inventor by accident. Beep-0, her loyal robot friend, falls through a wormhole and into an alternate dimension where Mario and his friends live. With this technology, a confused Rabbid combines a number of Mario characters with his own kind by accident. This is what makes the Mario + Rabbid hybrid monster run amok.

In Sparks of Hope, players fly into space when Luma from Super Mario Galaxy and Rabbids start to work together to make Sparks. Now, a dangerous bad guy named Cursa is trying to eat as many Sparks as possible so that they can take over the universe.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope trailer

Two trailers have been made for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. The first is a movie that has already been made. It shows how the DNA of Luma and Rabbids has somehow mixed, making the Sparks. Suddenly, some Sparks in a projection are crushed by the bony hands of an unknown person. Then, our heroes go to the armory to get their weapons and get ready to save the world.

Soon after that, Rabbid Rosalina is shown, and as our heroes step out of their ship onto a mysterious planet, we can see that each of them has an elemental Spark floating above them. Rabbid Rosalina’s Spark is icy blue, Rabbid Peach’s Spark is fiery red, and Rabbid Mario’s Spark is sparkling with yellow dust. The bad guys are all around our heroes, so they get together for a big fight and the title screen comes up.

The second trailer for Sparks of Hope shows fans what they can expect from the game. It will be different from its predecessor in that it will have open areas that players can explore in any order. Instead of fighting at key points along a set path, it seems that if you get too close to a roaming enemy, it will follow you.

If that enemy comes near your group, it will throw you into an instance and make you fight them. Another big change is that you no longer choose where on the battlefield you want to move. You will instead use the joystick to move your character freely around the arena.

During Nintendo’s June Direct Mini, a new trailer was shown. It gave us a release date, some new gameplay footage, and some cutscenes to think about. The release date for Sparks of Hope is October 20.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope also has a narrated gameplay demo in which Ubisoft goes into detail about exploring, fighting, making new friends, and saving the cute little sparks.

Terminal Words

In Mario + Rabbids, the player can play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi among other characters from the Super Mario series. There is also the same number of Rabbids which look like famous characters but have “Rabbid” before their names. Up to three of these characters could be on a player’s team, and Mario, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Peach are already in the game.

Sparks of Hope will have new playable characters. The trailer for the game showed Rabbid Rosalina, which suggests that she will also be playable. Sparks are also in the game. These are made when Luma and Rabbids join together, and they are used to help players in battle.

“9 heroes to build your dream team,” says the Sparks of Hope website (opens in a new tab). This number is strange since each Mario character usually has a Rabbid counterpart that can be played as well. It’s possible that the mysterious Rabbid who appears in marketing materials with our heroes will be the ninth character to break this pattern.
