In 2015, Lee took home the title of the reality series’ champion. The WWE revealed on October 6 that Sara Lee, a wrestler who won the sixth season of the reality competition “WWE Tough Enough,” had passed away. She was 30.

“WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee,” it said in a statement.

“Born and raised in Hope Township, Michigan, Lee excelled in powerlifting before eventually joining the sixth season of WWE’s ‘Tough Enough.’ Lee went on to win the fan vote for ‘Tough Enough’ and serve as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”

Her death has not been given a cause.

In her farewell Instagram post, Lee talked of getting better from a sinus ailment.

She wrote earlier this week, “Celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym two days in a row. First ever sinus illness kicked my butt.”

On “WWE Tough Enough,” Lee received a one-year, $250,000 WWE contract; the following year, the company let him go.

She married Wesley Blake, a former WWE wrestler named Cory Weston. Three kids were born to the couple.

Her mother also verified Lee’s passing in a Facebook post.

Our Sara Weston has gone to live with Jesus. We wanted to share with you with heavy hearts,” she stated. “The plans are not finalized, and we are all in shock. We sincerely request that you allow our family to grieve. Everyone, especially Cory and her children, needs prayer.

Courtney White, Lee’s sister-in-law, also lamented her passing.

She wrote, in part, “I normally know what to say, but I don’t.” “As these three children mature and lose out on several opportunities their mother should be present for, my heart hurts for them.

“I’ve been wondering how this may be happening for the past 24 hours and how it could genuinely be genuine. I see her kids, and I know that for and because of them, our families will get through this.

On social media, some wrestling fans paid respect to Lee.

Brandi Rhodes tweeted, “I never met Sara Lee, but she always appeared to have great energy. It just doesn’t make sense sometimes, and my heart goes to her family and friends.

“R.I.P. Sara,” tweeted Bianca Belair.

WWE referee Eddie Orengo wrote, “The loveliest lady that we were lucky to call a friend. Rest Peacefully, Sara.”
