Bellibolt an electric-type frog, has just been announced as the newest Pokémon to make its appearance in the upcoming Scarlet and Violet games for Nintendo Switch.
Just a few days ago, a teaser video was published in which Iono, a new character and gym leader, was introduced as an influencer and live streamer in the Pokémon world, and she invited viewers to predict what Pokémon she would be partnered with.
Following are the hints that were provided to us: It has “two huge ol’ bumps on its noggin that people always mistake for eyes,” and it moves slowly and chills out. And Iono thinks it’s “very cute.”

The bumps on either side of its head that seem remarkably like eyes are actually merely there for aesthetic purposes. Those two dots in front of its mouth are its true eyes.
Bellibolt is defined as laid-back on the Scarlet and Violet website. When it’s hungry, it makes a noise coming from its stomach, so it seems. By stretching and contracting its body, Bellibolt can create energy. The voltage is released through the bumps in the eyelids.
In addition to its previous strengths, Bellibolt now possesses the power of Electromorphosis. If it takes damage, it will store that energy and utilize it to power its next electric assault.

Bellibolt expands and contracts its body to generate electricity in an organ that looks like a belly button. Electricity is then discharged from the two bumps on either side of its head that resemble eyeballs.

Iono also disclosed that she is the leader of the Levincia Gym in Paldea and that she welcomes rival trainers to compete against (or “collab” with) her.
