Actor Mark Wahlberg is looking out for his children’s best interests. The 51-year-old actor and father of four (daughters Grace, 12, and Ella, 19, and sons Brendan, 14, and Michael, 16) stopped into The Talk on Tuesday to discuss the “greatest problem” he faces as a working father.
“I spend all of my leisure time at home,” Wahlberg has revealed.
Mark Wahlberg continued, “We went to Nevada, where, after this gubernatorial race, ideally we go to legislation and have a measure approved so we can obtain tax credits for the state, establish a state-of-the-art studio here, and make this Hollywood 2.0.”
“So to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams — whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us,” said the Uncharted star.
To “give ourselves a new face, a fresh start for the kids, and there are tonnes of possibility here,” as Wahlberg put it, he and Durham, 44, relocated to the area.

He continued, “I’m genuinely thrilled about the future.”
Wahlberg has always been encouraging of his kids’ interests, and earlier this year he shared how he plans to teach his kids about his faith.
In an April interview on the TODAY show, Wahlberg explained that his devotion to Father Stu stems from the fact that the film is autobiographical for him as a practicing Catholic. In any case, he has no intention of indoctrinating his kids with his views.
“They think Dad’s crazy, and he’s boring,” the actor joked to Hoda Kotb. “But even with my faith, I don’t force it on them. But they know that Dad can’t start the day without being in prayer, can’t start the day without reading my Scripture or going to Mass.”
“And hopefully, instead of forcing that on them, they’ll say, ‘Well, if it works for Dad, maybe it’ll work for us,’ and they’ll kind of gravitate towards it on their own,” Wahlberg added.

Mark Wahlberg’s Children
They were together for seven years, had three children, and tied the knot at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills on August 1, 2009. Five months after their January 2010 wedding, the couple had their second child.
Wahlberg had a reservation on American Airlines Flight 11 for September 11, 2001, but he had to rearrange his plans the day before and cancel.
He received backlash for stating in a 2012 interview, “If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did”. He added that “there would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’
After hearing from the flight’s victims’ loved ones, he delivered an apology.
Mark Wahlberg’s New Movies
Get to know Father Stu, Netflix’s newest original series. The dramatic film premiered on Netflix only four days ago, but it is already the most-watched film there. (As of right now, it has a higher rating than Do Revenge, This Is the End, Despicable Me 2, Sing 2, and Morbius.)
Father Stuart “Stu” Long (Wahlberg), a dirty boxer who gave up his athletic career to focus on acting, is the protagonist of this film based on a true incident. Stu is not religious at all because his parents were unfriendly toward him and turned to booze after the loss of his brother.
When he meets Carmen (Teresa Ruiz), a devout Catholic woman, his outlook on dating completely shifts. To this end, Stu has decided to join the RCIA and be baptized (AKA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).
When his faith is severely tested in a near-fatal motorbike accident, he feels compelled to enter the priesthood.
