Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio are the other seasons 8 couple to fall in love but not get engaged. Danielle made her reality television debut on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor and she returned for Bachelor in Paradise 4 with her now-best friend, bartender Wells.
Before she left, they kissed and then she told him she loved him. Before she joined the cast of The Bachelor franchise, Danielle was engaged in 2011. However, she tragically lost her fiance to a drug overdose the following year. In 2019, Michael a contestant on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette lost his wife to cancer and this may have helped them become closer.
Now he’s raising their son James, age 5, on his own. After his son said in a FaceTime call that he didn’t want to see Michael, Michael ended up leaving Katie’s season in week 7. Michael realized then that he needed to be with his son at home.
Some of the contestants on “The Bachelor” have met their future spouses on the show and even had children as a result of their experiences there.
