“Hot Take” is produced by MarVista Entertainment, a Fox Entertainment subsidiary. The screenplay for the movie was written by Guy Nicolucci (“The Daily Show”), while Sara Lohman (“Secrets in the Woods”) directed the film.
Tubi and MarVista rushed the film’s production “to capture a timely take on a story that became part of the cultural zeitgeist, painting a unique picture of what millions watched play out in the headlines over the summer,” Adam Lewinson, Tubi’s chief content officer, said in a statement. The movie will uniquely depict what millions of people watched play out in the headlines over the summer.
