FSU Wins After Kevin Knowles II's Last-Minute Pick Against Louisville

The Florida State Seminoles football team hasn’t started a season 3-0 since 2015. Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Cardinal Stadium, the undefeated Florida State Seminoles (2-0) will take on the winless Louisville Cardinals (1-1, 0-1 ACC).

Since 2014, these two teams have faced off in the ACC Atlantic, and the Cardinals have won the last two encounters. In 2020, they won 48-16; in 2021, they won 31-23.

This game is FSU’s first after a bye week. The season started with a 47-7 win for the Seminoles over Duquesne in “Week Zero,” followed by a 24-23 triumph over LSU at the Superdome in New Orleans.

To kick off the season, Louisville was stunned with a 31-7 loss against Syracuse. The Cardinals, however, got back on track with a 20-14 victory over UCF.

Since quarterback Jordan Travis moved from Louisville to Florida State before the 2019 season, this game may have special significance for him. Greedy Vance, a cornerback, and Jarrett Jackson, a defensive tackle, were acquired by the Seminoles from the Cardinals via free agency.
