BLACKPINK has conquered music charts throughout the globe with its new album! On September 16 at 1 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK made their highly-anticipated homecoming with their second full-length album, “BORN PINK.” Immediately following its release, the album and its new title single, “Shut Down,” soared to the top of iTunes rankings in various countries throughout the globe.
According to YG Entertainment, as of 9:45 a.m. KST on September 17, “BORN PINK” had already scored No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums lists in at least 54 different nations, including the United States and the United Kingdom. “BORN PINK” also reached No. 1 on Apple Music Top Albums charts in at least 60 territories.
Meanwhile, “Shut Down” had rocketed to No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs rankings in at least 43 different areas worldwide and topped QQ Music’s real-time list in China.
