A new official Black Adam trailer comes out of the gates on Thursday. The actor Dwayne Johnson posted the new footage on Twitter before it made its way to Warner Bros.‘ social media.

This second trailer is arguably the best so far because it makes the DC antihero look more like a true villain. Doctor Fate, played by Pierce Brosnan, seems to lead a group of heroes like the X-Men, including Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), in taking down Black Adam. They are known as the Justice Society of America.
The trailer also shows Amanda Waller, DC’s Nick Fury (Viola Davis). You can see her at exactly 49 seconds.
Davis was last seen in DC Universe’s Peacemaker, a spinoff from 2021’s The Suicide Squad. The ruthless intelligence officer in charge of Task Force X, also known as the Suicide Squad, is more of an antagonist than Marvel’s Nick Fury. She is happy to kill anyone who goes against her orders. Davis has been in more than one movie, just like Samuel L. Jackson’s character, who was the inspiration behind The Avengers.
“Black Adam” Dwayne Johnson‘s movie follows the antihero after he is released from a 5,000-year prison. The Justice Society of America gets together to stop his rampage and teach him how to be more of a hero than a bad guy. They then work together to stop an even more powerful force. Black Adam is scheduled to come out in theatres on Oct. 21.
