In June this year, Chanel West Coast (born as Chelsea Chanel Dudley) announced her pregnancy via Instagram. She is expecting her first child with boyfriend Dom Fenison. The announcement came before she attended the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted red carpet.
Who is Chanel West Coast?
Chanel is an American TV personality, singer as well as rapper who rose to the limelight after appearing in Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness that aired on MTV. She began her television career in 2009 with MTV’s Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory that aired for four seasons.
On June 19, 2022 she revealed the s*x of her child through Instagram.
The 34-year-old shared a video on Instagram where she was jumping from joy following Fenison opening an umbrella that broke out in pink confetti.
She captioned the post “We’re having a baby girl!!! 🤗💖🎀🌸🙏🏼🙌🏼” adding “Love you @domfenison thank you for coming into my life and loving me the way you do.”
Chanel also added “I know you will be the best Dad in the world! 😘😘😘 #HappyFathersDqy”
Her boyfriend also shared a clip on his Instagram handle captioning, “It’s a girl!!!” adding “Had the absolute best day yesterday with @chanelwestcoast and all of our family and friends. It was really a special occasion and I could feel the positive energy and love. Hope everyone had a great time 🙏🏼🖤“
Before revealing the baby’s gender, Chanel said in an interview with E!, “I don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. I’m just praying for a happy, healthy baby,” adding “I’m just really excited for this next journey in my life. It’s probably my scariest journey yet, but sometimes the scary roads lead to the best endings.”
She further continued “From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to sing and dance and be on TV,” adding “I just can’t wait to see what my child’s dreams are and help them pursue that all along the way.”
Coming to her experiences during pregnancy, she shared that she was having nausea during her first trimester and lauded her sweetheart for being the “most level-headed person” at this point of her life. While talking about Fenison, she said “Raising children is not an easy thing so you really have to be like that to be a good dad. He’s just so calm and relaxed and I can be a little bit crazier. I think that he’s the perfect balance for me.”
She also shared “There’s still going to be a little bit of that dabbled in the mix, but I really just feel inspired to make more serious and thoughtful music,” adding “I really want my child to be able to listen to my music and be proud and inspired when they hear it.”
Coming to how they fell in love, the thing that brought them closer romantically after years of acquaintance was West Coast’s music.
Her model boyfriend Fenison revealed in a February interview saying “We’ve known each other for, like, five or so years, but we kind of just rekindled our relationship ’cause I was in her new music video for ‘Vinyl,'”
