Who Are Lisa Marie Presley’s Children?
The 54-year-old singer tied the knot four times and also had four children. In 1988, she married Danny Keough with whom she welcomed two kids, a daughter named Riley Keough who was born in 1989 and a son named Benjamin Storm Keough who was born in 1992.
In 1994, Lisa tied the knot with Michael Jackson but she filed for divorce after two years. She then married actor and film producer Nicolas Cage and their divorce was finalized in 2004.
In January 2006, she got married for the fourth time to guitarist director and music producer Michael Lockwood and in October 2008, she gave birth to fraternal twin girls named Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood.
The couple ended their marriage of ten years in 2016 and finalized their divorce in 2021. Lisa shared two kids with her first husband, musician Danny Keough, to whom she was married for six years from 1988 to 1994.
Lisa Essay on “National Grief Awareness Day”
On August 30 Lisa penned an essay and opened up on her only son’s demise. She wrote “This is not a comfortable subject for anyone, and it is most unpopular to talk about.”
Lisa’s son committed suicide in July 2020. She mentioned in her essay “Death is part of life whether we like it or not — and so is grieving,” adding “There is so much to learn and understand on the subject, but here’s what I know so far: One is that grief does not stop or go away in any sense, a year, or years after the loss.”
Describing how mourning is an alone process, she further continued “Despite people coming in the heat of the moment to be there for you right after the loss takes place, they soon disappear and go on with their own lives and they kind of expect for you to do the same, especially after some time has passed. This includes “family” as well.”
Lisa then added that the “premature, unnatural, or tragic” death of a close one turns those left behind a “pariah in a sense.”
“I already battle with and beat myself up tirelessly and chronically, blaming myself every single day and that’s hard enough. But others will judge and blame you too, even secretly or behind your back which is even more cruel and painful on top of everything else,” Lisa continued.
