La Tomatina is a festival that takes place in the Valencian town of Buñol, Spain where participants are involved in a tomato fight just with the purpose of entertainment. This festival has been taking place since the year 1945 on the last Wednesday of the month August.
How did the festival La Tomatina begin Originally? When Did It Begin in 2022?
La Tomatina Festival began accidentally in 1945 on the last Wednesday of August when a group of youngsters dwelt in the town square to witness the Giants and Big-Heads figures parade. They then decided to participate in a parade with musicians, Giants and Big-Heads figures.
Big-head of one of the participants fell off, because of the festivities and then the outraged fellow started knocking everything that came into way. A stall of vegetables was there in the market that fell the participant among the crowd, when people began to hit each other using tomatoes till the time the local forces came to rescue and put an end to the tomato fight. La Tomatina started on August 31, 2022.
