Liam Llewellyn is the first person to leave Love Island in 2022. He had trouble making a quick romantic connection in the first week of the new season. The 22-year-old Welsh student from Stockport left the house on Friday night’s show. Before he left, he gathered the other contestants around the fire to say goodbye.
Liam used to be with Gemma Owen, but then she got back together with Davide Sanclimenti, leaving Liam alone.
Why did Liam Llewellyn leave Love Island?
MailOnline says that Liam told ITV producers that he didn’t like being in the villa and that his spot should be given to someone else. On Friday night’s episode, Liam gathered the other contestants and said, “I think we need to talk. Let’s all meet by the firepit.”
He said, “I don’t think I’ve been giving my all, Liam. I’m a long way from that.”
“The goal is to find someone you care enough to leave the villa with, right? But when you don’t feel that way, it makes it hard to find that.” He also said, “This isn’t something I decided on the spot, so yeah, I’ve decided to leave the villa. It’s been a breeze – it’s been an absolute ball. You’re all unreal.”
Who Else Has Left Love Island Early?
Liam isn’t the first contestant to leave the villa on his own or leave the show early. In 2019, Sherif Lanre kicked off the show after just nine days. At the time, the show’s producers said, “After Sherif broke the rules of the villa, he talked to the producers, and they both agreed that he should leave the Love Island villa.
He had accidentally kicked Molly-Mae Hague in the groyne when they were playing fight.
Sherif later said, “I broke the rules of the villa because I didn’t think things through well. I agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa because of this.” I’m sorry I didn’t act the right way, and as a 20-year-old man, I know it’s something I’ll think about and learn from. Niall Aslam quit the show in 2018 after only seven days. He said it was for personal reasons.
Years later, in an Instagram video, Niall said, “I came out and talked about my Asperger’s. I was diagnosed when I was 10, which was why I left Love Island.
“But what happened to me was that I ended up watching Love Island in a mental hospital in London. To be exact, I watched it in the Nightingale Hospital in London.
“I found out later that I had a condition called stress-induced psychosis… I didn’t understand what it was. It means that you become so stressed out that you lose touch with reality.
