The Gamescom event was filled with surprises for enthusiastic gamers around the globe and the news about Gungrave G.O.R.E has definitely made the event even more exciting for a lot of people.

The Trailer And Production of Gungrave G.O.R.E

Iggy Mob, the official Twitter account for Gungrave G.O.R.E unveiled their new and fascinating trailer for the game. It gave us a sneak peek into the characters and the story that we are going to see as it releases on the different platforms.

Originally scheduled for a December 2019 release, the game got delayed multiple times and was pushed for a 2020 release. It failed to release in 2020 either but this time we have the new publishing label Prime Matter for Koch Media who will be publishing the game.

With the new game, which looks like a bloody delightful PS2 era throwback, we are going to see some veterans returning to the scene. Yasuhiro Nightow who has worked his magic on the previous editions of the Gungrave games and the anime is returning as “Image director”. As a matter of fact, you will be introduced to Iggy Mob’s Jun as the producer for the game, Musai as the sound designer, and finally DJ Heo as the planning designer. The game is going to bring about a lot of excitement. This is because it is being developed with Unreal Engine 4 alongside a higher quality and scale than what we have seen with Gungrave VR, the prequel to Gungrave G.O.R.E

The Cast of Gungrave G.O.R.E.

While we know who will be the ones behind making this game a reality, the cast for the Gungrave G.O.R.E is equally exciting and much to look forward to. We are going to see Tomokazu Seki as Brandon “Beyond the Grave” Heat, Fumihiko Tachiki as Bunjo Kugashira, Kumi Sakuma as Mika Asagi, Akio Ohtsuka as Zell Condorbrave, Masami Iwasaki as Ganpo Essex, and Masumi Asano as Cheni Quartz Angel.

Looking at the trailer of the game, a lot is expected from this new edition called Gungrave G.O.R.E which doesn’t lose its retro touch while giving a new and powerful impact. It keeps alive the feel of a combo-heavy PS2 game like Devil May Cry while ensuring the touch of modernity and advanced mechanics are on display at every scene. All of this served with buckets of blood definitely makes it one of the goriest games you are going to get in 2022.

More About Gungrave G.O.R.E. Gameplay

The game is developed by Iggymob and published by Prime Matter, making it the first in the Gungrave franchise since 2004. This is going to be an over-the-top third-person action game where players will be able to control and hero to different kinds of oversized guns and caskets.

The first look of the game is quite exciting and the opening cutscene of the demo is something that will set the tone right. It opens with him pouncing on a pack of guards and killing one of them by turning his head 180°. From the opening scene only it is quite evident what we can expect with Gungrave G.O.R.E, the big, dumb violence, totally divorced from reality.

The demo also shows a lot of tutorials in the form of short chapters giving players a lot of combat nuances. One thing that still remains under speculation is whether the game will be able to sustain this high-octane action throughout. People can expect to see an excess of blood on this and that is something that makes it such a gore game.

Gungrave G.O.R.E Release Date And Platforms

Although the game has been delayed for release a couple of times before, it looks like this time the producers are going to stick to their release date. It was revealed at the Gamescom event that the game is going to be released on 22nd November 2022. We certainly hope it doesn’t get delayed again.
