Britney Spears was ultimately liberated from the conservatorship last year that controlled her life for the past thirteen years. In March, she got engaged to her longtime beau Sam Asghari.
She has always expressed her thoughts on welcoming a child with Asghari and then in April, she took to Instagram to share that she is about to welcome a baby after months of speculation. Unfortunately, on May 14, 2022, the couple announced that they suffered a pregnancy loss.
Spears and Asghari Announced Pregnancy Loss
The couple shared on Instagram in May writing “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent,” adding “Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along; however, we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
They expressed their thankfulness for support and asked for privacy in coping up with this loss.
How Britney Spears announce Her Pregnancy
The pop star announced that she is expecting a child with Sam in April and shared a picture of a pink coffee cup with the caption “lost so much weight” to go on her trip to Maui “only to gain it back.” “I thought, ‘Geez … what happened to my stomach???’ My husband said, ‘No, you’re food pregnant, silly!!!’ So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby.”
The 40-year-old said “it’s growing,” and “if there are 2 in there … I might just lose it.” She added that she “obviously won’t be going out much” because of paps seeking their “money shot.”
“It’s hard because when I was pregnant, I had perinatal depression. I have to say it is absolutely horrible. Women didn’t talk about it back then. Some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her, but now women talk about it every day. Thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret,” she added.
It seems like the two are expecting tropical vacays to be part of their birth plan. In April, Instyle pointed out that Britney confirmed “Planning on having babies in Polynesia.”
Spears on Having Another Baby
Months ago, Britney teased her fans with an addition to her family. On December 15, she shared on Instagram a video of herself and captioned it “New addition to the family. Guess if it’s a boy or a girl. Thank you again baby @samasghari!!!!”
She also shared plans of having another baby saying that she has been “thinking about having another baby.”
Last year in September, the couple shared an Instagram Story where she was holding a baby doll toy donned up just like her. Her now husband captioned “Exclusive! We had a baby. What should we name her?”
But in a June interview, she confessed in front of Judge Brenda Penny that the team in charge of her conservatorship blocked her from conceiving intentionally.
Britney Spears said “I would like to progressively move forward, and I want to have the real deal, I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” adding “I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby. I have an IUD inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have any more children. So basically, this conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good.”
