Destiny 2 Season 18 Release Date

Destiny 2 Season 18 Release Date

Season 18 of Destiny 2 is on the horizon, and undoubtedly, it looks like it’s going to be a bigger one. However, the exact seasonal activities aren’t known, but we do have an idea that the Arc subclass has its hardly required amendment to be compatible with Solar and Void. A new raid will also be there, supposed to be a returning favorite from the previous game.

Apart from these, it’s also getting some weekly missions, armor, seasonal weapons, and ornaments, along with the returning modes such as Trials of Osiris and a new edition of the Iron Banner. Read the full article below about the Destiny 2 Season 18 release date, a new raid, Arc 3.0, and others.

Destiny 2 Season 18 Release Date

Destiny 2 Season 8 is scheduled to be launched on August 23, 2022. The weekly maintenance takes place at 6 p.m. After that, you can proceed straight into the upcoming season. Generally, servers get overloaded immediately following the reset, though after a couple of hours, you can play.

Destiny 2 Arc 3.0

Changes have been introduced to the Arc subclass of Destiny 2 Season 18, similar to the Solar 3.0 and Void 3.0 that opens in a new tab before that. It will have several fragments and aspects to unveil and fix up, revamping your playstyle, though we can also expect further damage super for Hunters as they just have one currently.

Considering the game’s Arc., it seems as if chain-lightning or blind might contribute as keywords. However, this is just speculation as of now. You need to get your hands into any Arc-based exotics from Xur ahead of the upcoming season if you seek to prepare for an Arc build.

What Is the New Raid in Destiny 2?

The new season also comes up with an all-new raid. While the definite attack would not be disclosed before the launch of Destiny 2, we are aware that it’s a changed raid from the original game, identical to Vault of Glass. It will be live on August 26 at 6 p.m. BST and there will be the first race in the world to see which fireteam can finish all the challenges.

For the initial 24 hours, the raid will be released in contest mode and following that, it will be accessible usually, but the anticipated power level will be 1560. While we aren’t sure which raid it will be, it will be either Wrath of the Machine or King’s Fall and the latter is the most infamous raid ever.

During a September 2021 interview, Joe Blackburn, the game director of Destiny 2, said about the Crota’s end: “We know we want to bring back a banger. So, it’s really about the complexity of bringing the raids from D1 to D2. By saying it will be one of the big raids, that takes one out of the equation.”

Destiny 2 Season 18 Iron Banner and Crucible

Season 18 is also coming up with a new Iron Banner named Eruption which is all about kill streaks; the higher kills you land in a row, the higher points you will be able to score, and the more energy you regenerate for your powers. Moreover, after you reach 5-kills and be “Primed,” you will explode after 15 seconds if you do not continue to score kills. In the following season, Rift will be replaced by Eruption.

The Crucible is revamped as well as Bungie indicated that in the next season, they are considering launching skill-based matchmaking in the Control playlist to make PvP a bit fairer and beginner-friendly. However, they do not intend to include this in each Crucible playlist and will continue to tune it as the season progresses.

GUNS

Ultimately, in the new season, several weapons are being taken out of circulation:

But you can still have PLUG ONE.1 in the GM Nightfall every week that begins on August 9, whereas you can get your hands on the Trials of Osiris weapons on weekends. Stay tuned to Venturejolt.com to know more about such news.
