Who is Devlin Hodges?

Lainey Wilson is currently dating Devlin Hodges, a 27-year-old guy from Alabama who used to play professional football in the NFL as a quarterback. First, he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019, and later, he signed a contract with the Los Angeles Rams.

Before his NFL days, Devlin played for the Ottawa Redblacks in the Canadian Football League. He’s a graduate of Samford University. Apart from football, Devlin is into outdoor and sports stuff.

He’s an ambassador for companies like Chêne Gear, Browning, and Mossy Oak. His Instagram shows he loves hunting, and he even hosts a podcast called the Duck Hodges podcast.

Lainey Wilson and Devlin Hodges Relationship

Hodges and Wilson started dating in 2021, but they kept their relationship private. It was only after two years that they made it public by attending the ACM Awards together in May 2023.

In an interview on The Bobby Bones Show, the singer of “Watermelon Moonshine” shared that she has been in a relationship with the former NFL player for more than two years.

“He’s been around for a while. I just decided to make him wait for two and a half years,” Wilson, who is 31 years old, joked with the host. She added that Hodges is a “dude good.”

She added,

“He knows what it’s like chasing a dream because he’s done that for himself. He was in the NFL. He tried out literally for the Steelers and made it and had a really great run with them. Went out to LA Rams and did that. But I’ll tell you, he is good as gold. Supports me, would never come in between anything that I’m trying to do. He’s like, ‘Go get it, girl.’ And I made him wait for a while. I mean…it’s been a little over two years now.”

In recent months, Hodges has been tweeting a lot about how much he likes Lainey Wilson’s music. In April, he wrote on Twitter, “Lainey Wilson damnnn she’s so gooooood.”

In the same month, he replied to a tweet from iHeartCountry that had pictures of various country musicians, and the question was, “Whose DMs are you sliding into?” Hodges said, “Lainey Wilson.. literally.”

On the same day, he also tweeted, “SHOOTIN MY SHOT!” to express his interest.
