After five years of the launch of their last LP, electronic duo ODESZA has dropped another album entitled “The Last Goodbye.”
On Friday, July 22, 2022, the album was released with Foreign Family Collective label. The new album consists of thirteen tracks that also include the earlier launched songs titled “Behind The Sun,” “Light Of Day,” “Wide Awake,” “Better Now,” “Love Letter,” and the title track of the album.
The Last Goodbye is signature ODESZA, packed with lush soundscapes, magnificent moments as well as productions that are impartially exciting and complex, with Clayton Knight and Harrison Mills setting audio from the videos of the family into the tracks.
Getting back to normal after battling the COVID-19 pandemic, the duo also confirmed that they had already thought of making the new album particularly danceable in order to offer their listeners the relief essential following the global event.
ODESZA’s duo is considered to be one of the most successful touring acts in electronic space. The pair has launched the album this week and is set to celebrate the new album with a trio of sold-out shows at Climate Pledge Arena of Seattle.
Then “The Last Goodbye tour” hits amphitheaters all across the United States and Canada at the beginning of October. These shows will have longer bills including support acts with San Holo and Sylvan Esso, and installations to make the atmosphere more like a minifestival.
Recently, the pair’s manager, Adam Foley, told Billboard about this amphitheater show “To our knowledge, no electronic artist has really done it,” adding further “We felt like we could crack that door open because we’re not your typical electronic act.”
In September 2017, the LP of the pair titled “A Moment Apart” peaked at number #3 on the Billboard 200 and also debuted at number one on Hot Dance/Electronic albums, just like their 2014 LP “In Return.”
