Bo Jackson is an American baseball and football player. He performs in several sports and becomes one of the greatest athletes. After hip surgery, he ended up doing every sport and started appearing on the television screen such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Married …With Children, and did one movie The Chamber.
Bo Jackson: Early Life
Jackson was born on November 30, 1962, in Bessemer Alabama. His real name is Vincent Edward “Bo” Jackson. His mother’s favorite actor was Vince Edwards and that’s why his name is Vincent. In McCalla, he started his education and his baseball training. He becomes two times state champion. In 1982 he created a high school for high jump (6ft 9 inches) and Triple Jump 48 ft 8 inches.

Beginning With Baseball
Jackson started his career as a baseball player in 1986 professionally. In the NFL draft, he was picked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There he played for the Kansas City Royals in the World Series Championship and Bo signed a three-year deal for $ 1 million. In1989 he was selected to play in the American League All-Star team and there he showed his true game.
In 1990, he played against the Orioles with The Royals. But they left him after demanding a $ 2.375 million salary. Then Jackson joins White Sox. Now he is suffering from a hip injury and played only two seasons in 1992 and 1993. In 1994 with the California Angels he announced his retirement at an age of 32. “I got to know my family,” he said, “That looks better to me than any $10 million contract.”
His hip injury finished Jackson’s career. In his athletic and other sports, he announced his retirement from all formats. You can also watch his biopic You Don’t Know Bo, Jackson feels some problem in his hip during a match, and after checking it was found that there is a fracture in his hip bone.

In 1992, Bo appeared in the song “Scenario” by A Tribe Called Quest hip-hop group. James Golden also adopted his stage name Bo Snerdley.
In 1991, he was featured in a video game Tecmo Super Bowl, and his name is TecomBo, also called “the greatest athlete in video game history”. He launched his own video game Bo Jackson Hit and Run, which is based on baseball and football.
Television Appearance
Jackson played a cartoon role in NBC’s Saturday morning cartoon, then appeared in Married…With Children. He was cast in the TV series Lois $ Clark: The New Adventure of Superman and Naked Babies. Later Bo was also cast for minor roles in movies such as The Chamber, The Pandora Project, and Fakin’Da Funk. In 2021 he launched CBD product lines.

Bo Jackson: Personal Life
Jackson married Linda, and this couple had three children, two sons Garrett and Nicholas, and one daughter Morgen. He lived in Bur Ridge and he join Burr Ridge Bank in 2013 but left in 2017.
In a 2017 interview with USA Today, Jackson said “I wish I had known about all of those head injuries, but no one knew that. And the people that did know that they wouldn’t tell anybody,” he said. “The game has gotten so violent, so rough. We’re so much more educated on this CTE stuff (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), there’s no way I would ever allow my kids to play football today.”
