Mythic Quest is a comedy television series created by Megan Ganz, Charlie Day, and Rob McElhenney. The series revolves around a fictional video game studio that creates Mythic Quest, a popular MMORPG, operated by Ian Grimm, creator of the game.
In the series’ beginning, the studio is set to launch a significant expansion pack to the game named Raven’s Banquet. The creative director of the game, Grimm, gets into an argument with lead engineer Poppy Li, Brad Bakshi, head of the monetization; as well as C.W. Longbottom who is the head writer.
The first season of the series aired on Apple TV plus on February 7, 2020, and consisted of nine episodes. Then it also released two special episodes on May 22, 2020, and April 16, 2021. The second season of Mythic Quest aired from May 7, 2021, to June 25, 2021, with a total of 9 episodes.

Mythic Quest Season 3 Release Date
As of now, there is no confirmed release date yet for a third season of the series however, the video clip of McElhenney announcing the forthcoming season through Social media platforms calls Anthony Hopkins to reveal the news. In the video, it was disclosed that the third season of the series will be dropped in the Summer of 2022.
If they stick to their release date of Summer 2022 then we can expect the announcement of the exact release date soon. We will update this section as the information is available about it.
Mythic Quest Season 3 Cast
It is most likely that all the main cast will return for a third season but sadly, it was announced in April 2022 that F. Murray Abraham won’t be returning to reprise the role of head writer, C.W. Longbottom.

Mythic Quest Season 3 Storyline
Though nothing has been shared about the storyline of the third season of the series, we can expect it to be the continuation of the second season.
At the conclusion of the second season, we saw that Mythic Quest was altered for betterment. Poppy and Ian took the decision to depart from the company and begin a new game. They intend to make Poppy’s unsuccessful Mythic Quest expansion Hera into a new estate, establishing a rivalry with their earlier game.
Nicdao spilled during an interview with Forbes about what we can expect from her character in the new season, now that she and Ian have departed Mythic Quest. She said “In Season 1, Ian’s the boss [and] Poppy is kind of his underling. And then [in] Season 2, they have this equal power.
And then [in] Season 3, we’re going into this new space, hopefully, where Poppy has got a lot of power. It’s her idea,” adding “I’m personally interested to see what she does with that and what it does to the dynamic between the two of them.”
Apart from their new adventure, we can expect a lot more with the new season. Dana is set to learn programming under a GQ deal, whereas Rachel is attending Berkeley in pursuit of a career as a writer. The third season will reflect upon a new long-distance relationship.
In the second season, we also saw Brad was detained for insider trading, and no doubt he will be surprised after his return to the office to see Mythic Quest with a completely fresh team.
