Cannon was born on 8 October 1980, in San Diego, California and raised with his grandfather. In 1998 graduated from Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, he took part in Track and Field. His first act as comedian was on his father’s friend show.

Cannon start his career as a rapper with “Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad” group, when he was in his teen age. In 2001 he got a chance to rap with Jive Records, along with Romeo Miller and 3LM on Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, a hit song “Parents Just Don’t Understand”

. His self-titled album premiered in 2003 and after two years he made his own record, Can-I-Ball Records. Nick released his second album titled Stages record in his own studio.

In this album a song named “Can I Leave” is anti abortion. Then he changed the name of Can-I-Ball with N’Credible entertainment. In 2011 he released his first mixtape Child of the Corn.

In 2013 he announced that he is working on his third album White People Party Music, collaborating with Afrojack, Pitbull, Future and Polow da Don. In 2016 he released his next mixtape, The Gospel of Ike Turn Up: My Side of the Story.

In 2005 Nick started to produce and host comedy shows on MTV improv, Wild’N Out and also hosted 2005 Kids Choice Awards. In 2009 again hosted Nickelodeon HALO Awards with Justin Timberlake, Hayden Panettiere, LeBron James, Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keys. After that he hosts TennNick series The Nightlife and Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

In 2012, a previous show renewed again in N’Credible Entertainment and premiered with some new cast. Cannon said, “With our show’s original cast, everyone from Kevin Hart to Katt Williams, Affion Crockett and Taran Killam becoming household names, I am looking forward to working with MTV2 as we work to introduce the biggest comedic stars of tomorrow with the return of Wild ‘N Out.”

In 2014 he appeared on Caught on camera with Nick Cannon and in 2016, Wild’N Out beck with its 8th season.

In 2021 Nick’s own show premiered under his own production house NCredible Entertainment, titled Nick Cannon.
