In May 2020, Brian had a minor heart attack which required the infusion of three stents into three blocked arteries. He described that experience as “very near death.”

In late 2021, Brian confirmed that he had tested positive for coronavirus and stated it was “the worst flu you could imagine.” He also encouraged people to receive their vaccinations, claiming that he could not imagine himself recovering if he had not gotten jabbed.
