Lisa Hochstein’s Net Worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lisa Hochstein has an estimated net worth of $50 million. She has earned the majority of her wealth from her marriage with well-known Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein. She rose to the spotlight after appearing in the Bravo reality series “The Real Housewives of Miami” which ran from 2012 to 2013.

Early Life

Lisa Hochstein was born in Toronto, Canada on July 24, 1982. In October 2009, Lisa tied the knot with Lenny Hochstein. In 2004, Lenny appeared in the Bravo reality show “Miami Slice” at the peak of the popularity of FX’s “Nip/Tuck.” After suffering from 3 miscarriages. Lisa opted for In Vitro fertilization 4 times but when that also didn’t work, she decided to go for surrogacy.

On July 3, 2015, they welcomed their first child, a son, Logan, and On September 16, 2019, daughter Elle. She revealed on her first Mother’s Day saying “I feel like my life has much more purpose and meaning. I’m more focused and strive to be better at everything every day for him. Things that mattered before, seem so silly now. He’s such a happy and pleasant baby. He was worth the wait.”

Lisa is popular for her yearly Halloween parties, which managed to raise funds for charitable organizations like The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, The Humane Society, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Lisa and Lenny have imposed a penalty of $3,250 in January 2021 following they organized 2 big house parties and were quoted for “unreasonably loud, excessive, unnecessary or unusual noise.” After two months after the incident, they threw another loud party and ended up paying $5,000 as a fine.

Apart from that, let’s check out the real estate that she acquired. Lisa and Lenny acquired a 9,944 square foot home in the Sunset Islands in 2004 for $4.5 million. In 2012, the estate that had 7 bedrooms, and 6 bathrooms called “Palacio del Eden,” was listed for sale on the market for $10.75 million.

Prior to listing the above-mentioned estate for sale, they acquired a home for $7.6 million with 8 bedrooms, and 7 bathrooms on Star Island. They acquired the home at a very big discount and at the time of buying it, the property featured a white neo-classical mansion that was developed in 1925 by a famous Miami architect, Walter DeGarmo.

Upon purchasing the beautiful abode, they had an engineer evaluate the structure and after consulting with the engineer, they decided that the old abode wasn’t repairable and it would be better if they start from scratch.

Sadly, this decision wasn’t well-received by the Miami Design Preservation League members, particularly following they disclosed their plans to replace the estate with a 20,000 square-foot new mansion. As a result, this led to a legal battle with lawsuits and counter-lawsuits back and forth. The legal battle became so intense that a neighbor on Star Island, John Jansheski chose to change his own plans for a property 15 houses down the block.

He became so terrified by their legal battle that rather than razing the 90-year-old mansion which he acquired recently, he chose to uproot it physically by the foundation and relocate it 150 feet to the back of the property so that he could develop a new mansion in its place.

Ultimately, the Hochsteins won their legal fight but not until after he got approval from nearly every other homeowner on Star Island and presented evidence that proved the previous structure was entirely unsafe. In February 2013, they razed the former mansion situated at 42 Star Island Drive.

Today, the mansion they ended up building is worth almost $40-50 million on the basis of comparable Star Island sales. A nearby home sold for $75 million in December 2021. John Jansheski listed his two-mansion property for sale in January 2022 for $90 million.
