So, once again, The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress, Shailene Woodley, and the NFL quarterback, Aaron Rodgers have called off their on-off relationship.
Earlier in February, it was revealed by the sources that the 30-year-old actress and the 38-year-old football quarterback called off their engagement just around after a year after making it public.
Since then, the couple had been seen spending time together, along with in March at a California winery where both of them were spotted being “very affectionate” with each other.
Now, the sources reveal that the couple has split up again. According to an insider, “Shailene felt everything was on Aaron’s terms and it wasn’t making her happy.”
The Couple Also Broke Up Back in February: Reports
Back in February, when the duo broke up, it was revealed by the source that it was “amicable,” describing that their relationship “just wasn’t working.”
At the time, the insider stated “They’re very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”
However, the next month, some other insider stated Aaron was expecting they would reconcile their differences, “They both had intense work schedules in the fall and it wasn’t possible for them to focus on their relationship.
Now when Aaron’s season is over, he wants to give it another try. He thinks Shailene is very special. She is more hesitant though.”
In a February interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Aaron talked regarding his relationship with Shailene Woodley in spite of the recent news of their split. He stated that he has an “amazing partner to do life with,” which “just makes the work-life a bonus.”
Rodgers called Shailene an “incredible woman” who is “talented, smart, kind,” at the time, he said “She taught me what unconditional love looks like and that’s a great gift. When you have a partner like that it just makes life so much more enjoyable.”
In the same week, he took to Instagram to post a thankful message, with a photo of himself cuddled up to Shailene. He captioned, “@shailenewoodley, thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life.”
He then wrote “Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like,” adding further “I love you and am grateful for you.”
