Donald E. Morris was born on 24 July 1949 in Los Angeles. He attended California Polytechnic University to continue his education. In 1974, he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and in 1979, he earned an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
Morris won 3 Army Distinguished Public Service Medals, 3 Defense Meritorious Service Medals, 3 Navy Distinguished Public Service Medals, 4 Secretary of Defense Meritorious Civilian Awards, and 2 Defense Superior Service Medals. He also received 4 Environmental Quality Awards which also include one for helping with Hurricane Katrina’s recovery efforts.
Personal Life

Career
Don Morris kicked off his career by starting work in construction with LVI Services Firm Inc., a Tetra Tech affiliate company and there he was promoted to the designation of Senior Vice President/ General Manager.
Following his graduation from USC in 1969, he set up Morris Group International, involved in the manufacturing goods for the non-residential building industries, and soon, he headed off overseas in 1985, he got a high-ranking position at the Acorn Engineering Company and by 2003, he became CEO.
As Acorn expanded to make additions to many subsidiaries and product chains, he set up Morris Group International as the parent business, and over the years, he kept a tradition of power, wealth, and expansion.
He expanded from 14 to 28 divisions and brought the total employee counts to 2000. Morris also served in Tetra Tech Inc. as the Senior Vice President and General Manager.
In addition, he also used to work at TRW, the company is now under the ownership of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. During his 34-year career, he has worked closely with the company as a program manager for installation environmental analysis and cleanup services at a number of Department of Defense installations.
Don Morris also became a member of the California Polytechnic State of University Foundation’s Board of Trustees. In 2017, Morris was named The Wholesaler magazine’s Person of the Year.
