She went to Orange County High School of the Arts; however, she could not continue it for a long time and ended up completing school through homeschooling with the help of tutors.
From the period 2005 to 2010, Hudgens dated Zac Efron, her High School Musical co-star, and then in 2011, she started dating actor Austin Butler but the couple broke up in 2020. In 2021, Vanessa took to Instagram to confirm her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Cole Tucker.
